David Thomson - “The B.C. government’s actions have been highly improper, illegal and even cruel.” This is how Supreme Court Justice Gordon MacKinnon characterized the persecution that Eddy Haymour endured for years prior to being exiled from Canada. It was after those years of persecution and illegal confinement, while Eddy was exiled, that he planned and executed seizing the Canadian Embassy.
When a government acts as nefariously as did no less than six ministries, including the Ministry of the Attorney General, then any revolutionary act can be considered an act of patriotism, as is the case with Eddy Haymour. Eddy acted in defiance of tyranny and in defense of Justice.
I am deeply offended that you would refer to his actions as that of a terrorist. It is quite the opposite: Eddy and his family have been subjected to terrorist acts at the hands of people acting in bad faith for the B.C. government, and the government of Canada became complicit if for no other reason than their part in obstructing Eddy’s right to a fair and impartial hearing.
